Community Connections

KSBJ’s Community Relations department strives to connect our community to the heart of God by raising awareness of initiatives that impact lives locally & globally. Relationships with various churches, ministries, non-profits, & businesses are an essential part of the ministry of KSBJ. Our Community Outreach team is passionate about coming alongside organizations who are dedicating their time & resources for the glory of God.

Ministry Spotlight - Yellow Stone Academy

Yellow Stone Academy was founded to provide a high quality, faith-based education for children from Houston’s most economically disadvantaged families. The school sets high academic expectations for its students and places a premium on the development of their character, responsibility, and faith. Additionally, Yellowstone provides students with cultural, social and emotional resources to ensure that they are completely supported as they strive for academic excellence. Yellowstone also connects with the parents of our students on a consistent and substantive basis to promote strong family participation in their children’s educational success and individual well-being. Ministry Spotlight - Arms of Hope

Arms of Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian care organization. Its facilities include Boles Children’s Home (40 miles northeast of Dallas) and Medina Children’s Home (60 miles northwest of San Antonio). The facilities were originally established as Christian homes for orphans, but have grown with innovative programs designed to serve at-risk children and single-mother families. Arms of Hope also reaches disadvantaged children in their own neighborhoods in various communities through its outreach ministry programs. More than 30% of those served by Arms of Hope come from the Houston and East Texas area. Click to learn more about Arms of Hope.

Community Relationships

KSBJ is proud to work closely with the YMCA, one of Houston’s leading non-profit organizations committed to applying Christian principles into programs that build healthy spirit, mind, & body for all. Supporting their belief that a strong community can be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors, the Y is a cause-driven organization focusing on youth development, healthy living & social responsibility.
