Ministry Spotlight: Mercy House Global
Mercy House exists to engage, empower and disciple women around the globe in Jesus’ name. Engage those with resources to say yes to the plight of women in poverty. Empower women and teenage mothers around the world through partnerships and sustainable fair trade product development. And disciple women to be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
Mercy House is a global movement and it started right here in America. We are a team of thousands of individuals making a difference. Founded in 2010, Mercy House started with a dream to help pregnant teen moms in Nairobi, Kenya. Today, Mercy House fully funds two maternity homes and a transition home in Kenya. Mercy House also partners with 45 faith-based artisan groups in more than 25 countries. We buy fair trade product from these groups for our Fair Trade Friday monthly membership clubs and also sell their product in our two retail locations. This empowers some of the most marginalized women and changes their world in beautiful ways!
KSBJ is proud to work closely with the YMCA, one of Houston’s leading non-profit organizations committed to applying Christian principles into programs that build healthy spirit, mind, & body for all. Supporting their belief that a strong community can be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors, the Y is a cause-driven organization focusing on youth development, healthy living & social responsibility.
