National Church Adopt-a-School Initiative
The National Church Adopt-a-School Initiative (NCAASI) is a division of The Urban Alternative - the National Ministry of Dr. Tony Evans - and was officially formed in 2006. NCAASI equips church leaders and volunteers with the necessary tools to conduct community outreach programs scalable to each church or organizational size. To accomplish this, NCAASI provides training workshops where participants learn the process for adopting public schools and creating programs. This includes learning how to develop a school-based mentoring program, understanding church and school partnerships, receiving a comprehensive overview of social outreach, and learning how to developing a social outreach ministry. Supporting their belief that a strong community can be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors, the Y is a cause-driven organization focusing on youth development, healthy living & social responsibility.
