Ministry Spotlight - Covenant House Texas
For over 31 years, Covenant House Texas has been a sanctuary for young people under the age of 21. Covenant House Texas (CHT) provides the food, shelter and spiritual care that homeless youth, including pregnant and parenting teens, desperately need, as well as offers free medical care, job training, life skills, a 17-month transitional living program and a permanent housing program. Much more than that, CHT is spiritual haven for these young people. A full-time pastoral minister counsels and ministers to them, showing them that God does love and care for them. KSBJ is proud to work closely with the YMCA, one of Houston’s leading non-profit organizations committed to applying Christian principles into programs that build healthy spirit, mind, & body for all. Supporting their belief that a strong community can be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors, the Y is a cause-driven organization focusing on youth development, healthy living & social responsibility.
