Ballroom Dance Classes for Beginners

Monday, February 2, 2015
7:00pm - 7:50pm

"The Barn" at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church

8300 Katy Freeway

Houston, Texas

Ticket Options:

$75 per couple covers all 5 dance classes. Reserve your spot by making a check payable to CEPC and then mail it to “John Williamson, 4962 Milwee Street, Houston, Texas 77092.”  This way your name is registered right away as one of the 14 couples.  Cost can be pro-rated if you can’t commit to all five classes due to work, travel, kids, etc.  If you have to miss a class already paid for, you will receive a free make-up in any subsequent series.  Please contact John before you mail it to make sure there is room for another couple.  If very close to the first class date, you may also bring the check to the class provided you call him first.

Event Details:

Five classes on these five Mondays:  January 5, 12, 19, 26 and February 2 in 2015.  Different dance each week:  Waltz, Rumba, Foxtrot, Swing and Cha Cha.  Learn 2-3 steps in each dance.  Limited to 14 couples per class.  Our group also goes out on the town to big band dances each month. Receive your own dance chart plus emailed step notes for clarity on every step learned (both man’s part and lady’s part) to help you practice.  Call John at 713-680-0062, not the church.  You must have a partner to be in the dance class, no walk-ins and no pairing up at the class.  Singles without partners are invited to contact John about a possible partner beforehand.

Beginners Ballroom Dance Classes taught by former Fred Astaire Top Teacher Award Winner John Williamson, an expert who understands your uncertainties. This Adult Ministry emphasizes the need for stronger connections and more complete communication between men and women via the cooperation of both learned through dance!  Men learn the mechanics of leading; women learn the mechanics of following via the guidelines of love and respect.  When both do their part, it works!

The church is located at I-10 and Wirt Road.  “The Barn” is a missions building and youth center next to the church.  As you are going west on the I-10 feeder from the Wirt exit, take the second driveway entrance into the church (just before Hunan Restaurant).  Turn right, make the curve and then take your first left.  The Barn is straight ahead.
