Event Details:
Bayou Awakening is a three-day structured retreat designed especially for college-aged men and women, based loosely on the Cursillo and Search programs. It’s an intensive experience centered on Catholic teachings and experiencing Christ.
Awakening centers around a series of talks including: What is a Christian, Reconciliation, Love, The Mystical Body of Christ, Prayer, and Discernment During talks, retreaters are seated at tables with two staff members, one male and one female, to forma s small ‘family’ for the retreat. Families participate together in activities and discussions after each talk. Music is a big part of Awakening with singing led by the Music Staff as well as recordings from Contemporary Christian and inspirational artists. Opportunities throughout the weekend allow retreaters to work, laugh, and pray together and individually. It’s impossible to describe Awakening—it must be experienced! Awakening exceeds almost everyone’s expectations.
