Event Details:

Please join us on September 26th, 2013, for a prayer vigil at Houston City Hall, from 12pm-2pm, for Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen and resident of Idaho, who was arrested and imprisoned in Iran’s notoriously heinous Evin Prison. His crime? His Faith in Jesus Christ. Pastor Saeed has been tortured continuously since that time, suffering in unimaginable ways. Iran is in violation of its obligations under international law by keeping Pastor Saeed in prison, and is acting in direct contravention of its own national law. Iranian officials released a statement just last week, in which they reaffirmed their refusal to consider releasing Pastor Saeed, thereby solidifying their continuing desecration of the most basic tenants of human rights, as dictated by the Law of Nature and Nature’s God.

It is time for prayer warriors to rise up in every city around this nation, to demand Pastor Saeed’s release, and to claim victory in the battle between Light and darkness, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Who has vanquished death and hell. We are claiming an Acts 12 victory!

Pastor Saeed’s wife, Naghmeh Abedini, is petitioning prayer warriors around the nation to gather together on September 26th, the one year anniversary of Saeed’s unjust incarceration, to pray and petition for something that is so paramount and fundamental to our essence as Americans: Religious Liberty.

I would like to ask you to come alongside me and other concerned citizens, as we put on the Armor of Light (Romans 13:12), and hold a prayer vigil at City Hall in Houston, Texas, from 12pm-2pm, on September 26th, 2013, showing unity in the Body of Christ to support Saeed in his dire state, bearing his burden (1 Corinthians 12:26).

Please join us, to be a voice for Pastor Saeed, and for all those around the world who are persecuted and imprisoned for their faith in Jesus Christ.

If you can, please RSVP to the Houston Prayer Vigil Facebook page, and invite your friends, family, neighbors, church body, and coworkers to the event (on Facebook, too!): https://www.facebook.com/events/652051778140748/
