singleparentofthe week * nicole polleck
Nicole was nominated by her friend, Kimberly. Here is what Kimberly wrote about her:
“I want to tell you about a wonderful, strong, loving, and hard-working single mom named Nicole Polleck. She is a mother of four beautiful children and a nurse at Spring Branch Medical Center. Nicole has four children – Damen is 17, Bella is 16, Tyler is 14, and Nicholas is 6. Nicole put herself through nursing school while not just caring for her four children at the but also working a full-time job. She would get up before the sun to take Nicholas to daycare & get the three others off to school. Then she would attend her classes and go straight to one of her two jobs. When I met Nicole, she had been struggling with the recent loss her mother. Her mother was her best friend.
Nicole also volunteers at church for the Kidz Zone at Community of Faith. Nicole knows how important it is for all her children to know Jesus and to live her life as an example. Nicole has helped me to overcome my drug and alcohol addictions with God’s help and prayer. I have tried for many years to quit, but it could not be done without God’s help. Although Nicole has encountered many obstacles along her way, she has a successful career, is active in church, going to school to further her career, and spends every possible moment with her children. Many people can take a look at her trials and accomplishments and see that with God’s help anyone can succeed and give a joyful life to their children.”
