Friday Feature

We introduced you to a brand new song that you will hear on KSBJ’s Modern Praise and Worship program on Sunday Mornings called Enter His Gates from 6am-11am on 89.3 KSBJ and online from EnterHisGates.com.  It’s Chris Tomlin’s version of Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) co-wrote with Louie Giglio.  It was inspired by the movie, Amazing Grace, about one man’s fight to abolish slavery.   Watch the video below of Chris talking about his inspiration and performing the song live!  So, what did you think of the song?  You can leave comments to this blog at the bottom of the page!  We’d love to hear your opinion!

Is Your Family ready for Hurricane Season?

Today is the official start to Hurricane Season!  Are you ready? A new survey that found more than half of people living in hurricane-prone areas like Houston don’t have a family disaster plan.  More than 60% said they have no hurricane survival supplies and 88% say they have taken no steps to strengthen their homes against a storm.  Experts predict17 named storms; nine of them becoming hurricanes.   Click here for help preparing.

Minute From the Message:  Revelation 21:3

It’s going to be okay.  Listen to God’s promise of what eternal life is like from Revelation 21:3 “God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They’re his people, he’s their God. He’ll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone.”  To receive eternal life, you need a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.  Call us and we will pray with you at 281-446-KSBJ.

Pray for My Child

Today we’re praying for Teresa’s son, Graham and duaghter, Lindsey.  Graham  is graduating from High School today!  Pray that his relationship with God will be strengthened as he starts this new journey in his life and moves on to college.  Also pray for Lindsey, that she will continue to make good decisions and stand for what she believes throughout High School.  If you want us to pray for your child just send us an email.   Here is a Prayer Calendar you can use for your child every day!

Listening to the podcast of Joshua winning is awesome. His father should be proud.

I long to be a father that my son and daughter look up to. I hope that one day, my kids will write the words I share on their hearts. I pray that the words I say will be something pleasing to God’s ear.

    Scott B.
