Mom Inventor

Today on the Afternoon Show we are going to introduce you to  Adi Weber and her Strollometer.  Adi is a mom of three that came up with the Strollometer to help her loose weight by walking around her neighborhood pushing a stroller!   She took the idea, made a prototype, and won the prestigious 2006 Innovation Award.  Meet Adi and win the Strollometer this afternoon on your way home!

Minute From the Message: 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

God loves you, he is not mad at you, he is not counting up all your mistakes. “…For God chose to save us through Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that…we can live with him forever. So encourage each other and build each other up.”   You don’t have to be perfect to be a Chrsitian, just willing to let God accept your imperfections.  To receive a personal relationship with God,  call us at 281-446-KSBJ.

Pray for My Child

Today we’re praying for Tammi’s 3 daughters; Jessica (17), Melissa (15), and Rachael (13).   Jessica  joined the National Guard and is in basic training.   Melissa and Rachael got into trouble with alcohol.   Pray they draw close to the lord and have a strong personal relationship with God.  If you want us to pray for your child just send us an email.  Here is a Prayer Calendar you can use for your child every day!

This was forwarded to me as a ‘reflection’ of girls I work with in a residential facility. They are girls who are the orphans of our society. Caught up in lives that have held nothing but pain. These girls are in there for things ranging from running away to attempted murder. And almost all of them have been touched by sexual abuse. There is also a large majority of them who are self-harmers. Not only is it the Truth of their ONLY hope, but I saw, also, my own journey into the arms of the Beloved – as I, myself, had a similar journey. As we each strive to cling to Jesus – may we also become more aware of those around us: the outcast; the ‘troubled’ rebellious child; the fatherless…This facility has girls from three different states and I see in them, the very reflection of our socity. I wish I could show this to them – but I cannot – as there are those secular rules I must adhere to…but G-d is gracious in that he has opened the door many times and enabled me to share, one-on-one with these girls.
My heart breaks for them – and for us – because I hear their stories and cry out; “…Oh, L-rd, what have we done to our children!”

Thank-you, Amy, for sharing this amazing testimonial vidoe!

May the Word run forth swiftly!
