Those still needing assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for Hurricane Ike damages are running out of time to apply. Homeowners, renters and business owners have until Jan. 12 to register with FEMA.

Today is “National Thank God its Monday Day” – a day of recognition for the first day of the week. But it’s not a bad day! Besides holidays, such as Presidents Day, being celebrated on Mondays, people everywhere start new jobs, have birthdays, celebrate promotions and begin vacations on Mondays.
