How often do you learn?

Just let me say for the record, ”Ed’s” interview went well, and we are still waiting.  I think there’s at least one more interview after this one.

We have been so blessed with people’s prayers and continued support, I cannot thank anyone enough!

I have a funny story to tell you….

Last week we were at my daughter’s softball game.  In the league the girls “pester” the batter by chanting and singing.  It’s part of the game and the experience.  At first, I was taken aback.  I had no idea that this was an acceptable practice!  (can you tell I didn’t grow up with brothers?)  I talked to my girlfriend who has been at this softball thing longer and she confirmed it is completely normal and they all do this.

Anyway, back to the softball game. Ben loves to go to the games.  This time, he was really getting into the “chatter.” It was really cute and fun until….

His sister came up to bat and he started to do it to her!  “Hey, batter, batter, listen to me chatter…..”

I quickly picked him up and put my hand on his mouth to stop him!  I explained to him we don’t do that to his sister and her team; just the other team.   I know, it is so confusing for a 5 year old!

My grandad used to say, “You ain’t learning nothing when you are talking unless you are saying the wrong thing!”

Boy, do I learn alot!  I say the wrong stuff all of the time!  Both when the microphone is on and off!  It is surreal at times!

I even have dreams about saying the wrong thing on the air!  Like two weeks ago, I had a dream that I showed up late for the morning show and then did my news and weather breaks all wrong!  I woke up in a panic and then realized I was only dreaming!

I would love to hear your story about the funniest thing you said and learned from!  Email me sometime!
