Larry King
Here’s something not everyone knows about me. Steven Curtis Chapman is responsible for my marriage. I don’t even think Steven Curtis Chapman knows what a matchmaker he was for me!!
It was 16 years ago, and the SCC was playing at Starwood in Nashville (outdoors).
I decided that I would ask this certain guy I had my eye on if he would like to go with me. It was a date! The concert was fabulous, and the relationship kept on blossoming. Less than 9 months later we were married.
It is funny how things have a way of working out differently than we planned. I had always thought I was going to marry someone from Texas and live in Nashville. Instead, I married someone from Nashville, and we have lived in Texas for the majority of our married life together.
As I watched Larry King, my heart ached and my eyes welled up with tears for the Chapman family. I have been very blessed by them, not only Steven’s music, but by the kindness of Mary Beth and the sheer loveliness of their children.
It is one thing to go through a tough time as a family; it is another thing to speak about it on national television with the king of talk, Larry King. As I watched this clip, it occured to me how God is doing something extraordinary. We may not understand it, but we know that His character never changes; that He is always faithful, that He will never leave us or foresake us.

May it bless you as it has blessed me.
