In case you missed it, check this out!

As a staff, we gathered this morning and prayed, laughed, danced and sang in the room where Sharathon took place. It’s safe to say we all still feel this was the most surreal occurence EVER!!

Erik & The Mega-Mel’s Challenge.

Mel’s Country Cafe in Tomball has some of the best burgers in all of Texas. Last Friday, KSBJ’s Erik Sheldon headed on over and took the Mega Mel Burger Challenge - 1.5 pounds of fresh ground, 1 pound of bacon, .25 pound of American cheese, and lots, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, onions & pickles. He survived! He got a t-shirt AND his name on the wall!
He did it!

Orson.

So we have a new little addition to the family and his name is Orson. He is incredibly smart, so precious and the best part of the day.

Kenai has fallen in-love with him too and they are non-stop, wrestling and playing together. Best friends forever!

Cheap Date Ideas.

Just because money is low and everyone’s extra cautious in how much we spend, doesn’t mean romance should go out the window, right? Here are a few great ideas on how to have a fun date night without spending much at all!

Bike Rides - Pump up those bike tires! Whether it’s just a ride around the neighborhood or down the Seawall in Galveston, a nice bike ride is great exercise and is a good time to chat and catch up.

Photo Session - Just the two of you! Dress up, get some props together and find a quiet spot with a colorful and fun backdrop to take some fun updated photos of yourselves together. Then you can print some out, frame them and put them around the house or in your office!

Miller Outdoor Theatre - Lots of great FREE theatre productions, Ballet, Houston Symphony, and many more. Take a picnic dinner and blanket and enjoy the breeze on the top of the hill.

Candlelight Dinner - So maybe you can’t get a babysitter and will be at home tonight, that’s ok. Turn the TV off and have dinner at the table, make sure everyone is cleaned up and presentable, then light some candles and have some great conversation with your kids and spouse over dinner!! Or, take it to a WHOLE new level serve dinner on the floor in the living room, Indian style.

What are your fun and cheap date night ideas?
