May of this year will mark 18 years at KSBJ.  God has really blessed the ministry and I have been blessed to serve as KSBJ’s President and General Manager. 

Originally, I am from the Philadelphia area - growing up Royersford, PA. I first worked in radio at my junior high school station there - WSFR - Spring-Ford High School.

I loved broadcasting and its impact and went to school in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Oral Roberts University to learn about radio.   While completing my Bachelor of Science in Radio/TV/Film,  I worked at the campus station and became its General Manager.  I also got a job at a commercial Christian station in Tulsa, KCFO - where I served as a DJ, music director and later program director.  The best part about KCFO is that I met my wife-to-be there - Trudy. She was the receptionist and she was (and still is) so cute!  We have been married since 1982 and have three daughters Darcy (married to Greg), Sara (going to UH) and Michelle - in middle school.

I have worked in Christian radio in Tulsa, Waco (KBBW) and Austin (KIXL).  Because I wanted to be a manager, God took me down the business road.  I got my Masters Degree in Accounting at the University of Texas and worked at the IRS, an accounting firm in Austin and later in accounting at Arthur Andersen in Dallas.  I am also a CPA.

God brought both areas together - radio and business when I was asked in 1991 to become KSBJ’s business manager.  My family moved here from Dallas.  Six months later, the man who hired me - Burt Perrault - was lead to start a nationwide satellite network and resigned as KSBJ’s General Manager.  The Board asked me to serve as Interim General Manager and later decided to make me the permanent General Manager in 1992.

I love my job and I feel like I am living my dream.  One of my passions is worship and that is why I felt lead to start Enter His Gates 10 years ago.  The audience response has been incredible.  Many stations have copied our idea of Sunday morning worship across the country.  With all these stations praising God on Sunday mornings, I can’t help but think that God is smiling!
