Jon Foreman acoustic concert last night
Last night after the Phillips, Craig & Dean concert I received a text message that said “Meet at the buses at 11:15pm for further details” or something to that effect. What were they talking about? A special acoustic performance from Switchfoot’s Jon Foreman!
I arrived downtown at the Switchfoot tour bus around 10:45pm and joined about 100 of my new best friends on the sidewalk. At 11:15pm Mr. Foreman emerged from the bus with guitar in hand, greeted the crowd and started walking….so we followed him! With Cell phones and cameras going crazy he led us across the street to the Hanging Tree. This thing is like 500 years old! Spectacular place for a late night acoustic set, except for the honking horns and engines of the traffic passing by.
Jon played about 45 minutes. Just about equal to the time he performed for the paying customers in side the theater. He played mostly requests (If he remembered the words) Old ‘foot, new ‘foot and some tunes from his solo EPs. The set list as best as I can remember it is below.
