April 22 is Earth Day. Wednesday marks the 29th annual Earth Day, a global celebration meant to focus our attention on making and keeping our planet a safe, healthy place.

Houston Zoo and Waste Management celebrate Earth Day at the zoo with events including a recycling relay race and a “Meet the Keeper” session focused on how the zoo helps the planet.
