Garlic Can Help You Fight Colds, and Cancer

Here are the details from Health magazine.

  • Garlic fights colds. at the first sign of sniffles, do this: microwave two cloves of unpeeled garlic for 25 seconds. Let them cool, and then peel off the skin and eat them. The sulfur compounds in the garlic will boost your immune system and help fight off the cold or any other infection.
  • One last thing garlic can do: Help crush cancer. The next time you’re cooking, mince your garlic ahead of time. Nutritionists at the American Institute for Cancer Research found that letting chopped garlic sit before heating it up helps it retain a third more of its cancer-fighting sulfur compounds than if it were cooked immediately.
