Volkswagen (the company) wanted to make people take the stairs at a location where everyone ignored the stairs and hopped onto the escalator instead…SO, they wired the stairs and made them look like a piano - when someone stepped on a key it played the right note! FUN WORKED! people started taking the stairs and ignoring the escalator….SO, we want to find out if it would work with Christianity. If we Christians made it look like more fun would more people be interested? What can we do to make living for Jesus look attractive, look like fun!?

Christians can make it more fun! Everybody wants to belong to a family, and that is what the church is, a family.
The early church met weekly for the Lord’s Supper. A real supper, where no one went home hungry. When’s the last time you had the “Lord’s Supper” in a church and went home full?
We need to get back to those foundations that made us the church. A full meal every Sunday with the bread and the “fruit of the vine” as part of it, not all of it. One cup and one loaf, symbolic of one body.
Everybody brings the best food they can to the celebratory feast that is the reminder to us and to Christ that He will come again and we will join Him in the Marriage Feast of the Lamb.
Can you imagine if every Sunday, Christians met in their homes and feasted, inviting the poor and unsaved?! A party, in Christ’s honor, celebrating the fact that He will return for us. What better way to show the world we know how to have fun than to do it the way Christ and the early church did.

People can have fun and still be a christian too. The first century believers met in their homes, living & studying the principles of life from the original author of life, God. Jesus Christ said in John 10:10 we are to have life, and have it more abundantly. That involves having fun God’s way.

Wyatt said….The time for stuffed shirt religion is over. We need to be comfortable as Christians with Christians. We are a family, and we need to be the type of family that is seen in the parks and other public places getting along so that people say, “I wish I were part of that family!”
Rebekah wrote this….
This made me think of “how to make Christianity more fun” we have to show others through our actions and life how awesome our God is. This a prayer from Paul while in prison…
9-11 So this is my prayer: that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of: bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.

God never intended living for Him to be boring. Look at the playground He provided us! We should be like kids at Disneyland! The problem is that we get so bogged down with all the resonsibilities and thinking WE have to worry about and take of this and that, when all we need to do is turn it over to HIm, do the next right thing, leaving the results to God and enjoy the playground He provided! Look out the window at the beauty in His work! He gave us mountains to climb and ski, rivers to tube, lakes swim,to boat and ski, the ocean and the beach to make sand castles, sunsets to enjoy, clouds, birds to listen to and watch! There is so much to do and He provided us all we need to do it! I use to think fun was going to a bar and getting drunk. Pfff! Are you kidding! I would rather go hang gliding, hot air balloon riding, or my favorate, tubing down the river! Most importantly, He gave us each other to love and have fellowship with! If we could just stop worrying about things that won’t matter 5 or 10 years, or even 1 year from now and enjoy the gift of life and make memories with our families that we could never replace and can never be taken away, like all the stuff we try to accumulate, we could have fun and be happier than most people ever imagined! THAT is living God’s way!

Plus, He did not intend for us to have jobs that we hate. He wired us all with gifts and talents and desires, and if we put HIm first, He will not only reveal our talents and desires, but He will give us the desires of our heart. We try to figure it out and do it on our own, and we are always disappointed because we can’t. We just need HIm if we will ever be truly happy.

Funny! Someone who didn’t really know me once disagreed with one of my co-workers, saying I couldn’t be a Christian because I laughed too much! Truth is, I never had a real reason to laugh until I became one!
