Here we go again! Gas prices in the Houston-area went up six-cents this week. That makes the average price one-72. However, here’s the confusion…the price of gasoline at the pump is going up but the oil prices have been dropping!! But before we get to upset - According to Triple-A, the cost at the pump here is still 12-cents lower than the national.

There’s a couple in Humble who are planning to clone their beloved dog. They’ve had him for 12 years but he has incurable cancer and will have to be put down soon. They plan to pay a South Korean company to clone their dog, Fisher. It’s not cheap…by the time they have paid for the whole thing…it will be 150 thousand dollars.
First Lady Michelle Obama is reportedly furious at a toy company for dolls that resemble ten-year-old Malia and seven-year-old Sasha Obama. The “Marvelous Malia” and “Sweet Sasha” dolls are part of Ty Inc.’s “TyGirlz” collection. The plush dolls are fast-forwarded to the teenage years and show the girls with womanly figures and in tight-fitting outfits. The Toy company says it’s all a misunderstanding.
No matter how you slice it, National Pie Day is a berry good idea. The American Pie Council is sponsoring today’s tribute to the scrumptious desserts, and they’re calling on pie-eyed Americans to bake, buy, give and especially consume their favorites. The council says the caloric treats are “part of our American heritage.”
