I have a couple of friends that are struggling with a number of tough issues in their marriage and they asked me to go to a new church with them Sunday. We chose First Baptist in Houston as a church for them to try and I was happy to go along for their first visit. This is where God’s hand is so strong. We had no idea that we had chose the third Sunday of a series by Pastor Gregg Matte on “The Birds and Bees” the sermon was so very pointed for my friends that it was as though we’d called ahead and Pastor had changed everything so that he was only speaking to us! I marvel sometimes how much God works in our life and for our good. I am so grateful to have been there to see it for my friends. I am also grateful that they saw it as God’s hand on their life, and it prepared them for a very tough week. Newsboys has a new song called “In the Hands of God.” Isn’t it great to be reminded that we are in His hands, and His hands will guide us if we will take the guidance. Think about the last time you KNEW God’s hand in your life was strong.
