We have lived overseas in Uganda and Uzbekistan and the recommended procedure for making our fruits and vegatables edible, without boiling, was to use a cap full of bleach and 1/2 gallon of water, soak them for a bit, and then they were safe to eat. (And they didn’t taste like viniger!)

This morning I was listening when you were talking about the pesticides on foods.
Please google “The World according to Monsanto”. This will take you approx. 45 minutes but it is worth your time. This explains GMO’s where you can understand how they came to be and what they have done to peoples and the enviroment as a whole. It is scary, but education is the first step to understanding the rising amount of cancers, and rare cancers in children. I’m not a crazy, on the edge type person…just someone wanting to do what I can for my family. It is impossible to do everything, but to do nothing is burying our heads.
    God Bless you,

    To whom it may concern,
Since the lose of my daughter 3 years ago I have listened to KSBJ. I have found this station to be most inspirational. It has helped me get to the end of a lot of tough days, and helped me start a lot with a positive outlook also. I have never faltered under the criticism of others about listening to a Christian radio station. I don’t feel I need to since I am a Christian as are almost all American people in the agricultural industry. However after yesterdays broadcast I will no longer listen to your station. Understand I am not going to protest you. I like a lot of other good people in the agricultural industry of America are just going to change stations.
I was raised eating the fruit and vegetables right out of fields here in Texas and still do. We merely pick them and wipe them off, maybe run some water over them and eat them. I, nor any member of my family has ever been hurt from the chemicals used on these fruits and vegetables. I would recommend you doing a little bit of studying before you condemn something on the air. FYI organic potatoes develop a pesticide that is several times stronger and more deadly to humans than any knows pesticides on the market today. I read this study back in the early 1990’s.
The fruits and Vegetables we by that are grown here in the US are safe to eat right from the field. Although the ones shipped here from other countries where there are not stringent regulations on pesticides are not as safe to eat. I would suggest getting some info. from the agricultural commissioner of Texas on this. What you have done is now hurt the very industry in America that feeds you.
All I am asking is to think about what you say and its consequences before you say it. There is a little saying I tell my boys and it helps to control this. Words are like bullets once they are set free you can never get them back.

    Regards,
    Allan
