Boo is my new boxer puppy. His name is Boudreax but we call him Boo. He’s about three months old now and is growing like a weed. He’s been spending days in the backyard with his dad (Corkey) but when I’m home in the evening he comes in the house to stay with me. I’ve noticed that he’s been spending more and more time laying next to me. He likes to have his paw on me it’s as though he wants to be in touch if I’m there. I actually love the fact that he really wants to spend time with me. I wonder if that isn’t the way God feels about us. When we are trying hard to stay in touch with God, to be where He is. When we are working to be close to God, He must be happy to have us want that closeness. He created us to have relationship with Him. He sent His son so we could repair the damaged relationship and again have the promise of eternal life with Him. He’s promised never to leave or foresake us. It’s pretty obvious that God wants that closeness, that loving relationship with us. We need to be working to stay close, to be in his presence. Boo may not have learned alot of tricks at his young age, but he’s sure taught me one. The trick to being close to God is to move in close and STAY.
