Are you a fan of The History Channel’s internationally popular Forged in Fire show? Texas Select Forged in Fire on Saturday & Sunday, April 6 & 7 is your opportunity to meet the bladesmiths in person. Cowboy Szymanski (1st season Forged in Fire) invites the public to meet and interact with 29 of his fellow Forged in Fire bladesmiths. This family-friendly, FREE event will be hosted at Phenix Knives (9am – 4pm) located in the historic 1891 Blacksmith Shop at 305 E. Main St. in Bellville, TX 77418.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations by many Forged in Fire notable bladesmiths, visit with them about their work, get pictures and autographs, purchase forged knives, as well as tour the blacksmith shop and Carriage House (the 1896 E.O. Finn building) next door.
Jantz Knifemaking Supply and other vendors will also be on site to supply your knife-making needs, whether you are a beginner or an expert craftsman.
Phenix Knives is donating a custom knife forged from original iron and teak wood donated by the 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA to the local Bellville Engineering, Science and Technology Booster Club which is being raffled off to benefit their Summer Science Camp and Scholarship Fund. Raffle tickets can be purchased from BEST Boosters and at Phenix Knives. This raffle is BEST Booster Club’s primary fund raiser, benefiting school children interested in science. BEST Booster Club is a 501-C3 non-profit.
The Bellville Lion’s Club will host a concession stand that will benefit local charity projects.
Bellville’s first weekend Trades and Crafts Show will be all around the Square, along with the Farmer’s Market. A horse-drawn carriage will available for rides around town, and also the Lil Red Barn Express (small train ride).


Take Hwy 290 West to Brenham, then South on Hwy 36 to Bellville.
Take Interstate 10 West to Sealy, then North on Hwy 36 to Bellville.
The Blacksmith Shop is at 305 E. Main. You can’t miss it. It’s a small town.
