Lives Impacted by KSBJ
Because giving listeners choose to give back to the Lord through KSBJ, lives are impacted and changed each day. Here’s an encouraging story of one listener’s journey with KSBJ and how her life’s journey was impacted because YOU chose to give!
As I listen to KSBJ and the 30 day challenge, it brings to mind my 30 year journey with KSBJ.
As a teenager, I started listening to Christian music on the old KFMK station, with Buddy Holiday. When it was announced that KFMK was going off the air, I was Shocked. They did announce that a new Christian radio station would eventually start. I honestly could not imagine a better radio station than KFMK. It was a pretty emotional day for me.
Then July 9, 1982 arrived and KSBJ went on the air. I immediately started listening and have never stopped. KSBJ has been my constant companion every day.
My life has taken many turns. Through the birth of my beautiful sons in the 80’s – KSBJ was there. Through the dissolution of my marriage in the 90’s and becoming a single mom – KSBJ was there. When I became a Grandma in the early 2000’s – KSBJ was there to share in my joy! And, when my son John deployed to the Middle East, it was such a blessing to know that KSBJ was calling out for prayer for our military. Knowing that those fighting for our continued freedom were being prayed for gave me the strength to rely on God each day.
So thank you, KSBJ, for making me, not only smile, but also laugh, with Susan and Bill so early each morning. It is so obvious that each person affiliated with KBJ has a deep love for Christ and is totally committed to this ministry.
Again thank you for always being there and for the love that shines through every minute of every day.
While most of the KSBJ listening audience live and work around the Houston metroplex, your gifts enable us to transmit via the web all around the world. Here’s an up-lifting comment from Jim:
I’m sitting here in Taji, Iraq listening to the morning show, and the awesome interview with Third Day. I’m not a soldier, at least not anymore, but a contractor (from Conroe). I just wanted y’all to know that your show makes my afternoons soooooo much smoother and more uplifting.
Thanks for all you give each and every day, and thank God for the technology that allows me to listen to a little bit of home on the other side of the world!
