Serve as a member of the Programming Department and report directly to the Program Director. Announce radio program and play music based on knowledge of KSBJ listening audience. Provide items of interest to the audience such as weather and traffic. Interview guests. Other duties include • Work on the air Monday-Friday and one weekend per month • Participate in remote broadcasts and promotions. Produce on-air field reports as needed. • Participate in Public Appearances as requested • Assist with Production work as assigned • Any other work as assigned. Qualifications: • Knowledgeable, conversant and demonstrates an understanding of KSBJ’s audience and the Christian culture at-large • Minimum 5 years on-air experience • Major or large market experience preferred • Experience with Adobe Audition, Pro tools, Nexgen, or Scott automation systems • Accurate board work is a must • Strong grammatical usage and style • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to appropriately respond to a variety of issues that listeners may present • Solid computer skills • Heart for Christian music and ministry. Part Time Weekend On-Air Announcer
Serve as a member of the Programming Department and reports directly to the Assistant Program Director. Announces radio program and plays music based on knowledge of KSBJ listening audience. KSBJ announcers will provide items of interest to the audience such as weather and traffic conditions and interview guests from time to time. Other duties include:
•Must be able to work weekend and evening shifts on a consistent basis
•Need to have at least 1 year of on air experience
•Working knowledge of NexGen, VoxPro, and Adobe
•Must have a heart for Christian ministry
•Strong grammatical usage and style
•Ability to appropriately respond to a variety of issues that listeners may present
