KSBJ Events Bring Smiles, Hope to Houston

By: Tonja Ward

Touching lives in the community as a KSBJ/NGEN volunteer has been a fun and rewarding way for me to be a part of impacting Houston. It all started after KSBJ launched NGEN, a station that plays music by artists whose CDs my husband and I were already giving away to students. Youth and family ministry is my passion and I was compelled to become a KSBJ/NGEN volunteer. It has been a great experience.

I have been inspired by the selfless efforts of KSBJ volunteers and even more touched by the agencies and people KSBJ serves. Now I get to encourage you to make a difference in your neighborhood, too.

KSBJ’s 2014 events calendar is filled with opportunities to serve others through community partnerships and events around the Houston area. The list includes YMCA Operation Backpack, BP MS 150, Wings Over Houston Airshow and Houston Zoo Lights, just to name a few.

Your faithful support is what enables us to reach out to the community during these special events. Because of your kind generosity, we are blessed with a promotions team dedicated to interacting with you, your family, and your community on a continuous basis.

As the KSBJ promotions team gears up for a busy spring and summer, we can’t wait to meet you and hear your story when we make a trip to your community. With your help, we are the voice of hope connecting you and many others to God. We’ll see you soon!
