KSBJ Prayer Stations impact the community thanks to you!
By Kim Kossie, Prayer Director
We’re living in a world of great needs, and thanks to your support KSBJ’s prayer ministry is making a world of difference! When crises arise, we rely on Christ through prayer to see us through. A recent event at one of our local college campuses was a stellar example.
Upon hearing of an altercation between some students on campus involving firearms, we immediately asked our listeners to join us in prayer. In addition, we took our KSBJ Prayer Stations to the campuses that were affected.
We received a warm welcome from students and faculty members who told us how thankful they were to know we were praying for them. One high school teacher stopped by our Prayer Station and told us, “So many of our students listen to KSBJ and it meant so much to us while we were on high security alert, to hear you guys asking others to join in prayer for our campuses. It gave us such peace.”
We know God has far greater plans to use our prayer ministry to impact our city in various ways—like our partnership with Harris County Jail’s Chaplaincy office. Our Prayer Stations will be at one of three downtown locations, offering prayer for families who are desperately in need of hope and healing while their loved ones are incarcerated.
We’re also looking forward to new opportunities to join forces on some large-scale, city-wide volunteer projects where Prayer Stations will be available in fulfillment of our mission to be the “voice of hope connecting people to God.” Please pray with us that these amazing opportunities to minister to the community come to pass!
