KSBJ Named One of the Best Christian Workplaces for the Fourth Consecutive Year

HOUSTON (January 9, 2013) – KSBJ has been named one of the Best Christian Workplaces of 2013 by the research-based organizational and human resources consulting firm, Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). Organizations were selected based on a comprehensive survey administered by the institute. The only radio station on the list, this is KSBJ’s fourth consecutive year to be recognized.

“We have really worked hard to make sure that KSBJ continues to be a great place to work. Our staff and our audience have grown quite a bit over the past several years, but even with the growth, we continue to have a staff who are passionate for God, love each other and love to serve people. I have been here for almost 22 years and I still enjoy coming to work every day,” says Tim McDermott, president and general manager of KSBJ.

The Best Christian Workplace Certification is a mark of distinction for faith-based organizations that build healthy workplaces. Certified organizations were identified through an anonymous BCWI employee engagement survey that was conducted and distributed across the United States and Canada to workplaces with Christian mission and/or values. Organizations were evaluated on issues including job satisfaction, commitment, Christian witness, supervisory effectiveness, work satisfaction, personal growth and development, management effectiveness, customer/supporter satisfaction, teamwork, communications, salary and benefits.
