KSBJ Recognized as Top Work Place

HOUSTON (November 10, 2015) KSBJ has been recognized as a top workplace nationally, as one of the Best Christian Workplaces of 2015, and locally as one of the 2015 Top Workplaces by the Houston Chronicle. This marks the fifth time KSBJ has been acknowledged as a one of the Best Christian Workplaces and the first time to be recognized as a Top Workplace in Houston.

“I really believe that in order to have great ministry outside the walls you have to be a great ministry inside the walls. We are blessed with an amazing staff. This honor celebrates them and the love they have for each other. I am especially excited that this recognition was with other mainstream organizations. On the list KSBJ stands out! What a great witness and also a great way for the world to see ‘they will know we are Christians by our love’,” says Tim McDermott, president and general manager of KSBJ in regards to the Houston Top Workplaces recognition.

Top Workplaces is the largest workplace ratings list distributed throughout Houston and is determined by a third party surveyor, Workplace Dynamics. This special publication of the Houston Chronicle ranks companies in areas such as opportunities for advancement, value of their pay and benefits, and their managers’ communication management skills.

The Best Christian Workplace Certification is a mark of distinction for faith-based organizations that build healthy workplaces. Certified organizations were identified through an anonymous BCWI employee engagement survey that was conducted and distributed across the United States and Canada to workplaces with Christian mission and/or values. Organizations were evaluated on issues including job satisfaction, commitment, Christian witness, supervisory effectiveness, work satisfaction, personal growth and development, management effectiveness, customer/supporter satisfaction, teamwork, communications, salary and benefits.
