KSBJ Team HOPE rides in BP MS150 for 7th year – brings hope to those living with Multiple Sclerosis

KSBJ’s Team HOPE will participate in the 2016 BP MS150, with over 120 riders making the trek from Houston to Austin in hopes of finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

KSBJ Team HOPE started its journey in 2010, after discovering that multiple staff members and their families had been living with Multiple Sclerosis. “We ride because this disease touched our KSBJ family and we wanted to do something about it,” says Tim McDermott, KSBJ President and General Manager. Since then, Team HOPE has grown to become one of the Top 20 teams in both size and fundraising.

LaRanda Burke, KSBJ CFO and Team HOPE Captain said, “We pray for a cure for MS and we want to bring hope in the form of Jesus to those we encounter. It’s like hope is sprinkled throughout the ride.” Each year the team aims to fulfill its calling to be the voice of hope through outreach events like the MS150.

Over the next few years, KSBJ strives to expand Team HOPE’s presence by continuing to support causes throughout the Houston area that are close to our listener’s hearts.

“We pray for a cure for MS and we want to bring hope in the form of Jesus to those we encounter. It’s like hope is sprinkled throughout the ride.”
