Elijah's Retreat is Celebrating 10 Years with a Fall Festival open to the public! In 2019 Elijah's Retreat hosted 204 Families and over 400 children with Autism. The Fall Festival is a Celebration and a Fundraiser for Elijah's Retreat to help keep the cost at a minimum for the families visiting the retreat. Families facing Autism provide 30-50 hours of therapy for their child every week and spend thousands of dollars on sensory tools and modifications for safety every year.

There will be Silent Auction running all day and the Mayor of Jacksonville will be opening the Live Auction at 3pm. The Nutcracker Ballet

Kingwood Dance Theatre presents the Nutcracker Ballet. For the past 32 years, Kingwood Dance Theatre's full-length production, with extensive sets and costumes ahs brought the story of Clara and her nutcracker Prince to life. A cast of more than 100 dancers and performers fill the stage with mice and soldiers, snowflakes, gingerbread children, the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy. A gliding sleigh, magical trunk and falling snow add to the enchantment of the ballet set to the well-known music of Peter Tchaikovsky.
Performances are Saturday December 7th at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday December 8th at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $20.00. Tickets can be purchased online at www.kingwooddancetheatre.com or at the box office on the day of the performance.

Christmas Banquet for people living on the streets

This event is our second annual Christmas banquet for the people living on the streets. Our first one was a success, however we are hoping to reach more people this year. We are expecting at least 200 people to attend this event, because we are setting up teams to pick up people from Baytown, Channelview, La Porte, Pasadena, Jacinto City, Crosby, Highlands, and possibly downtown Houston as well. There are several local ministries and organizations partnering with us for this event. We will have dinner, clothes, gifts, haircuts, and more for the people who live on the streets.

For the past 32 years, Kingwood Dance Theatre's full-length production of the Nutcracker Ballet, with extensive sets and costumes, has brought the story of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince to life. A cast of more than 100 dancers and performers fill the stage with mice and soldiers, harlequin dolls, snowflakes, gingerbread children, the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy. A gliding sleigh, magical trunk and falling snow add to the enchantment of the ballet.

Join us for free activities for the family including candle making, creating a clay pinch pot, sewing a coin bag or playing Bethlehem dress-up.
