Hope Rising announces its 3rd Annual Western Weekend and Trail Ride for Hope @ 7IL Ranch in Cat Spring, Texas

Hope Rising announces its 3rd annual Western Weekend and Trail Ride for Hope to be held at the magnificent 7IL Ranch in Cat Spring, Texas, April 4th and 5th.
This family-friendly event is designed to raise awareness about the hope and healing offered to survivors of human sex trafficking and abuse through the work of Hope Rising.

Nestled in rolling green hills west of Houston, east of Austin and south of College Station, 7IL Ranch offers miles of meandering, bluebonnet clad paths and trail riding opportunities.
Campers are encouraged to attend, with or without a horse, as there are activities planned for the whole family. Guests will witness the power of an equine therapy session and learn how horses can be trained to overcome their fear of unknown obstacles.

Internationally acclaimed, Dr. Lew Sterrett known as “The Horse Whisperer” will be onsite with a powerful performance demonstrating leadership as he works to break and ride a young colt named, Cowboy.
Dr. Lew is a highly sought-after speaker and trainer specializing in Biblical leadership and development. He holds many national awards for his influence in leadership and has been named as one of the most influential people by the Moody Bible Institute.

Saturday evening, guests will enjoy a chuckwagon dinner prepared by real-life cowboy cooks as they tap their toes or dance to live music by “Texas Sundown Band” round the campfire.

There will be auction items featuring the work of local artisans, and raffle tickets may be purchased for a chance to win a home defense rifle, or a guided South Texas hog hunt.
On Sunday, Brenham Bible church will be providing “Church in the Dirt” along with hearty breakfast tacos. A fellowship lunch will follow the service along with a demonstration from Pro-Rodeo Inductee Gayle Brittain about how equine therapy is used to provide healing and stability to survivors of PTSD.

* Trail riders must bring their own horse with proof of negative coggins.

* 7IL Ranch offers campsites, electric RV hookups, campsites and equine boarding facilities. Please reserve these accommodations separately at
