I... am so tired of "Holy Forever"

Why would Chris Tomlin say that about such a powerful song, and one that HE wrote? Well it all comes down to how much his 4 year old daughter LOVES the song.

Rachelle and I talked with Chris about family, the Gen Z generation, and about his new album "The King is Still the King". It's fascinating hearing his perspective about what worship should be, and what message he wants the world to hear in his music right now. There's a song called "Help My Unbelief" that he discusses, about those times where we start to lose faith. And we live in a time it's harder than ever not to lose faith.

About 7 minutes into the conversation, he discusses how one of the songs is literal scripture put to music and he didn't even mean to do it. We had fun with the idea that a famous figure from the Bible might be waiting on him in heaven... with a slingshot.

We also got a chance to play our Generations Game with Chris. Rachelle and Chris are a part of the Gen X generation (born 1965-1980) and I am a Millennial (1981-1996). While we had fun reminiscing and poking fun at some generational stereotypes, this game was all about Texas. Chris grew up in Texas, and let's just say he represented it well!
