89.3 KSBJ is taking their annual Love That Sticks initiative to new heights with one day dedicated to appreciate US Astronaut, Shane Kimbrough. Long time Christian music fan, Kimbrough, recently celebrated 100 days aboard the International Space Station. To thank him for his service, KSBJ makes it their final Love That Sticks mission on Tuesday, February 28 to send him encouragement – all the way to outer space. The goal of the mission is to shower Shane with Love That Sticks notes from all across the country to show him how much he is loved through social media by posting #WeLoveYouShane.
Recently, Rachelle & Carder from the KSBJ Morning Show had the opportunity to interview Kimbrough while he is still on the ISS. “Talking with Commander Kimbrough while he is in space is one of the coolest things ever. Hearing his passion for God’s people on this planet, and why he does what he does was even better,” said Carder.
MORE ABOUT LOVE THAT STICKS
Each February, KSBJ challenges listeners to grab a sticky note and pen, write a positive message and blanket the city of Houston for Love That Sticks. Pulling inspiration from John 13:34, “love one another just as I have loved you,” Love That Sticks is an opportunity to love on the people around you. With the help of Kimbrough’s team at NASA, KSBJ collected love notes from prominent Christian artists and listeners to make the Astronaut feel special.
