About the Midday Show

Jen

Jen hosts the Midday Show on KSBJ and has a blast doing it – it truly is her dream job! She grew up listening to Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 and was excited every Sunday afternoon to keep track of the top songs in a little journal. She never imagined she’d have the chance to be playing the top songs in Christian radio! She also loves praying with you and hearing your stories, all while encouraging you with uplifting music. When she’s not on-air, you can catch her watching sports, running, reading, enjoying live music, spoiling her two Pugs, Daisy and Ike, volunteering at her church and teaching music lessons. And she’s forever trying to remember the lyrics to the songs on KSBJ so she can sing along with them just like you do when you’re cruising the Houston freeways. Her favorite verse is Psalm 19:14, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.”

He who promised is faithful. From Propel Women

God will often wait until a situation appears hopeless before he works a miracle. I’m guessing that, like me, you’ve looked at your circumstances—at your gifts, your physical body, your resources, your education, your connections—and decided a promise couldn’t be fulfilled because it simply wasn’t possible. But our infinite God can go far beyond any finite options we can imagine!

If God has said he will do something, then he will be faithful to do it, whatever your natural circumstances. Remember Sarah, the wife of Abraham? She was already “past childbearing age” when she conceived Isaac. It was biologically impossible for a woman over ninety to have a child! But when Sarah yielded the situation to God—choosing to trust that he would be faithful—the miracle happened.

Just because we can’t do something doesn’t mean God can’t do it either. After all, when something seems no longer possible and God turns up, only then can he get the glory.

As you look at the things that seem impossible in your life, remember God is present and making a way. As Luke 18:27 reminds us, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

You can be confident that there’s nothing our God cannot do! He can do abundantly more than we can fathom, imagine, or hope for.

You clear one hurdle only to see five more waiting for you. And since running hurdles was never your strong suit, it's draining! Ephesians 6 "Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength...Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request..." ... See MoreSee Less

What was your moment when you realized you were an officially crazy pet parent!?

I dropped Ike off for acupuncture this morning 😂🤦‍♀️. Didn’t even know that was a thing for pets!! Poor guy hurt his back jumping off the bed and my hope is this will prevent the need for surgery. The things we do for our furry friends!!

When I had a rescue and got up in the middle of the night to give him breathing treatments

When your baby not only sleeps in your bed, but has his own pillow. He also has a ramp to get on the couch & steps to get in bed. So sorry your little one isn’t feeling well. Hope the acupuncture helps. Chase is like our child too.

Poor baby. Little dogs don't have shock-absorbing legs. Spoken by a proud Corgi mom.

When I bought them a Ninja blender for one of their Christmas gifts just so we can make doggie popsicles. Also, all their mail deliveries are addressed to the specific pup... they get more mail than me!

Hope that Ike gets better soon!

Prayers for Ike to feel better soon.

Hopefully he gets better!🐶❤️ This is Cooper on the way to the vet going in for bloodwork.

What a cutie!

put in a $ 3000 fence around our property for them, bought a 27 foot travel trailer for them to travel with us, gave one 2 new knees.

Oh you are sweet..good luck on the price

I just spent $300 bucks this weekend getting Ranger his allergy shots, meanwhile I’m suffering from allergies myself and won’t go to the doctor! This is Ranger enjoying his Pup Cup from our favorite ice cream shop! 🐶🍦

Aww hope it helps.

He’s soooo cute! 🥰

The grounding mat would help with healing his back. I bought a meat grinder to make homemade food for our Maltese.
