From the time she was a little girl, 21-year-old Caitlyn Muckensturm adored animals and dreamed of a career in agriculture. “I’m enthralled with animals. I wanted to be a vet,” smiles Caitlyn. “Then I wanted a pet sheep because I thought they’d be fluffy and fun!”

Never Underestimate Small Beginnings
We’re coming up on 248 years since “the shot heard round the world” was fired in Concord, Massachusetts. It was a small beginning where a bunch of ragtag American colonists fought the highly trained British, launching what became known as the Revolutionary War. The world has never been the same since that seemingly small moment on April 18, 1775.
“In Japan, a very small minority of Protestant Christians introduced ethics into politics and had an impact beyond all proportion to their numbers. They were central in the beginning of the women’s movement, labor unions, and virtually every reform movement. The quality of the culture may be changed when 2% of its people have a new vision.” (Professor Robert Bellah, UC Berkeley)
Our vision is for every heart to hear, see, and experience what Christ’s life-changing love can do… but could God really use you and me to change the world for His glory? Absolutely. 100%. We should never underestimate small beginnings, whether it is what began in 1982 as a little Christian music radio station called KSBJ or whether it is you and me, people fully surrendered to living life as God designed it, full of purpose to know Him and to make Him known. We can change the world because God specializes in turning small beginnings into something monumental for His purposes, turning conventional wisdom on its head. Even God’s “foolish plan” is wiser than the wisest of human plans. (See 1 Corinthians 1:24-28)
This “small beginning” from right here at KSBJ is fueled by the prayers, financial support, and daily work of men and women like you on mission to see millions love Jesus, serve others, and spread the life-changing hope of God. We believe God is using all of Hope Media Group to help change the world one heart at a time. Never underestimate small beginnings.
