God, I know that you are with me. I know that You’re here. Can You help my spirit in this moment? Can You help my heart? I’m without heat and water. All these things are changing around me… God, give my spirit comfort and peace.
Then I heard God whisper,” things are changing around you, but I’m not. I am unchanging.”

God’s Word talks about how He provides for us. He protects us. (Philippians 4:19)
We don’t have to worry. (Matthew 6:25-27)
We don’t have to fear. The Holy Spirit is inside of us. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Because we have God inside of us, we have power. Even though we may not see it reflected in the lights, we have it on the inside of our beings. Even though we may not have running water, we have living water. We have holy water.

Remember that God does not change. The world is going to change; that’s what this side of heaven, this side of glory, is always going to look like. There will always be some version of a catastrophic event, but you can always look to God and lean on Him. He’s a Man of His Word. He is never going to change. He cannot lie. He cannot change. He cannot fail.

We can look to those promises no matter what storms are coming our way. No matter what we’re living through now, no matter what we’re going to go through, we can not only survive those storms, but we can thrive in them. We can rest in who He is, and we can rest in who we know He created us to be.
