Michelle is no stranger to heartbreak.
While working a 12-hour shift at Ben Taub Hospital, the pipes froze and burst, and water ran for the entire 12 hours, flooding her home and rendering it completely devastated.
“There was water coming out of the front door, ” Michelle said.
But thanks to Casting Crowns, Provident Music Group and KSBJ, Michelle gets a well-deserved surprise.
“You’re helping people who are sick. You’re doing things that we can’t do. This is something we can do,” Carlos Aguiar, KSBJ Afternoon Show co-host, said while giving a check for $2,500 to a tearful Michelle. “We’re gonna start right here with you.”
