If you need help dealing with stress and you live in Harris County, there’s a free resource available right now. They’re called Mental Health Smart Pods.
These are different than a traditional healthcare office, because the pods bring access directly to the community at no charge. Precinct 2, which covers much of east and southeast Harris County, has a life expectancy 20 years lower than the county’s average. Support is available in English and Spanish for adults and children. While it’s best to make an appointment, walk-ins are also welcome.
