When you say “I do” and make promises for the future, it’s hard to dream about what “in sickness and health” might look like in the years to come. Beth Lewis is a KSBJ listener who never dreamed she’d have to make major medical decisions for her husband. After Tim suffered a traumatic brain injury that changed their family forever, Beth found herself facing an unimaginable situation.
A few years ago we had the chance to share her story with one of our artists, Matthew West, and he wrote this beautiful song for them called “Growing Up and Growing Old.” What I think is beautiful is how this song showcases the way our love can change over the years. It’s not always easy, but it sure is worth it.
