About the Morning Show
RACHELLE
Rachelle has been proud to call Houston home since her move from New York in 2014. She and Carder host the KSBJ morning show weekdays and enjoy laughing AND crying with you! She’s passionate about spreading the love of Christ and humbled to share Jesus and His music with you. When she’s not on-air, you can find Rachelle spending time with her husband (Sammy), their two boys (Sammy and Caleb), their spoiled Jack Russell terrier (Chrissy) and their pet corn snake (Michael Scott). Rachelle is an OU alum where she graduated with a degree in Theatre. It is on the air where she gets to scratch the itch for performance and, thanks to Carder, experiences “drama.” Her favorite scripture passage is Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
CARDER
Hey I’m Carder and I love getting to be a part of a station that is here to uplift all of us every day. On our show: we’ll listen to some music, we’ll laugh and we’ll talk about Jesus. If that sounds good to you, let’s hang out! I am married to my best friend named Kelsey, and we have a toddler named Ezra who cracks us up every day. Coffee, sports, and assorted smoked meats are at the top of my list of things I love about life. Secretly, I also love HGTV. So there … my man card has been taken.

Uniting Boomers & Gen Z
While much of the world creates division in the topic of the generations, we choose to bring all of them together! We've been playing "The Generations Game" where we as a Gen X (Rachelle) and a Millennial (Carder) play against those generations, as well as Gen Z's and...
Talking with Faith Skeptics
If you're a person of faith, it can be difficult when someone you care about chooses to go their own way instead of embrace faith. Maybe it's even a family member that you saw walk away from their faith. How do we engage them without shoving our beliefs down their...
You Won’t Believe This Toddler’s Hairstyle
We want our kids to appreciate the things WE loved growing up. But this might be taking it a step too far. Autumn and her mom (Evelyn's grandma) are hairstylists and decided to give her the "Golden Girls" cut. Needless to say, Evelyn is now a star and very beloved...
